Living Color X Sonic Springs Festival

We are very excited to join together with you all to cocreate this festival! If you have any creative ideas you feel would enhance the festival and would like to contribute- we would love to hear your ideas.  
Our Living Color tent will be a fun creative space throughout the festival. We are curating Art workshops and programming as well as a chill space for the Sonic Springs community to come and enjoy various art activities. If you would like to run an art workshop,  please let us know!

Where is the festival located?

Hidden Valley Campground

When do I arrive?

General Admission: Friday July 7 - Sunday July 9 

Early entry: Thursday July 6 - *FREE* for participating artists

Where will I stay? 

It is a camping festival. There is Forest and open-air camping, as well as RV camping for an additional fee.

Do I have to bring my own camping gear? 

Yes. Bring all your own camping gear. There is no camp store on site. BYO - tent, food, cookware, sleep gear. There is clean water on site. There are shared showers on site. 

Artist FAQ

What is my contribution to the festival?

Creating some incredible Art LIVE alongside some of the countries most talented DJs and the Sonic Springs community. 

  • Paint at the festival 
  • Help with art deco stuff during setup (Volunteer with Art tent programming, participating and co-creating art activities for the community. Min 4 hour shifts / artist ♡)
  • Art Tent community vibes and LC programming

What is the Artist exchange? Is this a Paid gig?


Free ticket for an artist

  • $300 value - access to all the festival grounds, activities, and workshops
  • Parking pass separate (due to campground policy)

Be a part of our Artist community and contribute to the programming during the festival (Volunteer with Living Color Art tent programming. min 4 hour shifts / artist)

Is there parking on-site?

Yes. There is parking on site and a parking pass is necessary to access the lot. 1 pass per vehicle. We encourage carpooling. Purchase your parking pass for $28.25 here:

What materials will be on site for creating live art?

We will provide paints - but feel free to bring your own funky colors / additional supplies if you want

What materials should I bring?

  • Canvas(s)
  • Easel if you have one - we will have easels designated for Live Painting time slots only at the stages. 
  • Paint needed for your unique painting
  • Brushes
  • Rag
  • Palette
  • Anything else you need to make your art 

When will I be painting?

The LC team will be curating a painting schedule for artists to paint live alongside the DJs with the Music. 

You are welcome to paint anytime outside those hours at the art tent - please note we will not have easels at the art tent.

What happens to my art?

Artist can choose to keep their work or donate their art to the LC art auction

Will I be able to display my art?

The LC tent will feature an art gallery - once we know how many artists are interested in displaying we can let you know how much space we have

What is the lighting situation like?

BYO - light.

We recommend clip on easel light that can be charged ahead of time or plugged into a mobile battery pack. BYO - battery pack.

Will I be able to sell my art?

We will have artist vending spots available Friday and Saturday daytime for a tabling space fee of $100. It will be BYO-table. Smaller tables are encouraged.
